Zen Garden in the City

Between glass towers and steel dreams
a pocket of resistance grows
three square meters of awakening
claimed from empire’s grid

here, moss ignores
property lines
spreading green defiance
across manufactured borders

pebbles arranged
in patterns of dissent
whisper ancient stories
of earth beneath asphalt

wildflowers push through
where sidewalk meets soil
untamed
unauthorized
alive

meditation cushion
placed on broken concrete
transforms urban waste
into temple ground

sirens fade to wind song
traffic becomes ocean
subway rumble deepens
to earth’s own heartbeat

each breath
a small rebellion
against the speed
of digital time

pigeons gather
like zen masters
finding peace
in the chaos

evening shadows
from skyscrapers
bow to this tiny kingdom
of authentic being
