White Butterfly

Gossamer wings of purest white,
Dancing on the summer’s light.
A fleeting wisp of fragile grace,
Fluttering with ethereal pace.

Delicate as morning frost,
In gardens green, you’re never lost.
Your presence brings a gentle peace,
A momentary world’s release.

From flower to flower, you flit and float,
Nature’s tiny, living boat.
Sailing currents of warm air,
Without a worry, without a care.

Symbol of transformation’s power,
From lowly caterpillar’s hour,
To this celestial being of flight,
A miracle in black and white.

Some say you carry souls above,
Messengers of those we love.
Others see in your brief stay,
The beauty of life’s fleeting day.

Oh white butterfly, so pure and free,
What silent wisdom can you see?
As you traverse this mortal realm,
With nature as your only helm.

In sunbeams caught, your wings unfold,
A story of rebirth untold.
Then off you go, a pale kite,
Vanishing in shafts of light.

We watch you leave with wistful eyes,
Your presence fleeting as it flies.
Reminder of life’s gentle art,
White butterfly, you’ve touched my heart.
