Where Stars Forget Their Own Names

Celestial amnesia sweeps across the night,
Constellations unravel, patterns dissolve.
Ancient lights flicker with uncertainty,
Their cosmic dance faltering, steps forgotten.

In the vast expanse of obsidian sky,
Stellar wanderers drift, untethered and lost.
Orion’s belt unclasps, scattering gems,
The Big Dipper spills its celestial brew.

Polaris wavers, no longer true north,
As galaxies spin tales of fading glory.
Nebulae whisper secrets long concealed,
Their gaseous tendrils grasping at memories.

What celestial tragedy has befallen,
When suns cannot recall their own burning hearts?
Cosmic winds carry echoes of names,
Once etched in stardust, now mere whispers.

In this astronomical amnesia,
We gaze upward, lost in shared confusion.
For if stars forget, what hope have we
To remember our place in this grand design?

Yet in this cosmic loss, a mystery blooms,
As we rewrite the sky with new stories,
Finding beauty in the uncharted dark,
Where stars and souls alike seek their way home.
