Urban Symphony: A Cacophonous Ode

Concrete canyons stretch to touch the sky,
Steel and glass glint in the morning light.
Sirens wail as yellow cabs rush by,
A city wakes to greet the day so bright.

Subways rumble deep beneath the streets,
Their rhythmic clatter, an urban heartbeat.
On corners where a thousand stories meet,
The aroma of fresh bagels, a morning treat.

Pigeons coo and strut on window sills,
While buskers play their tunes for spare change.
Street art blooms on brick walls, vibrant frills,
A canvas where creativity runs strange.

Food carts sizzle, wafting spicy air,
Mingling with exhaust and perfume trails.
Businessmen and artists, an eclectic pair,
Brush shoulders as each their own path sails.

Neon signs flicker as twilight nears,
Jazz notes float from a smoky bar.
Laughter erupts, clinking of beer,
As night owls gather from near and far.

Horns honk a discordant lullaby,
For those who find sleep in this chaos.
While dreams are born ‘neath the starry sky,
In penthouses and in modest lofts.
