The Unraveling Mantra
Sacred syllables, once whispered low,
Now chanted loud, make cosmos flow.
“Om mani padme hum” distorts,
As reality bends and contorts.
“Fnord fnord fnord fnord fnord fnord fnord,”
The new refrain, absurdly poured.
Each utterance splits the veil,
As sense and nonsense now prevail.
Trees grow upside-down from clouds,
While fish swim through the air in crowds.
Clocks melt, their hands now rubber bands,
Time itself no longer stands.
“Mu mu mu mu mu mu mu,”
The chant evolves, both false and true.
Words lose meaning, gain new power,
As logic crumbles hour by hour.
Mountains float and oceans fly,
The sun and moon swap in the sky.
“Awgwabwgwawba” now they sing,
Chaos and order intertwining.
Colors taste and sounds are seen,
Reality becomes a dream.
“Eris Discordia” they cry,
As sacred truths learn how to lie.
The mantra shifts with every breath,
Life and death, a game of chess.
“23 skidoo” they shout with glee,
Unraveling all that used to be.
