The Paradox of Understanding

In realms of wisdom’s vast expanse,
Where knowledge’s light seeks its chance,
There lies a truth, profound and deep,
A paradox, where secrets creep.

If you understand everything,
Your thoughts ablaze, your mind takes wing,
Beware the hubris, temptations lure,
For truth is complex, not always pure.

The allure of knowledge tempts the soul,
To grasp the universe, to be in control,
Yet in this quest, a pitfall lies,
Where wisdom’s cloak can blind the eyes.

For knowledge, a river, forever flows,
Its currents changing, in constant throes,
What once seemed true, with certainty clear,
Can fade like whispers, beyond our ear.

Perception’s prism, it shapes our view,
Interpretations endless, and they accrue,
The deeper we dive, the more we see,
That truth is fluid, like an endless sea.

The learned minds throughout the ages,
Have grappled with wisdom’s endless stages,
They’ve pondered mysteries, sought to define,
Yet found elusive truths that intertwine.

So, if you understand everything,
With arrogance, your thoughts take wing,
Remember, in this ever-shifting quest,
Humility reigns, a virtue blessed.

Embrace the shadows, the uncertain ground,
Where mysteries dance, in silence profound,
For in the absence of certainty’s embrace,
We find the beauty, the depths of grace.

So, let not certainty blind your sight,
Nor arrogance extinguish the light,
For in the paradox, where truths reside,
A humble heart finds wisdom’s tide.

If you understand everything, you see,
That truth is vast, like a boundless sea,
Misinformed, perhaps, yet humble and wise,
In the tapestry of knowledge, your soul shall rise.
