The Law of Thelema’s Embrace
In realms of choice and sovereign will,
A truth emerges, strong and still.
“Do what thou wilt,” the maxim rings,
The freedom that true wisdom brings.
But in this law, a deeper call,
Love is the heart, the core of all.
Not mere desire or fleeting lust,
But love that’s earned through sacred trust.
Under the will, love finds its way,
Guiding our actions day by day.
A balance struck ‘tween want and need,
Where passion and reason are freed.
The whole of law, in words so few,
Yet vast enough to see us through.
In every choice, in every hour,
Love and will combine their power.
So let your true self be unfurled,
Your unique purpose in this world.
But temper freedom with love’s light,
To navigate both day and night.
For in this dance of will and heart,
We find the strength to play our part.
Do as thou wilt, but know this too:
Love is the law, forever true.
