The Holy Banana Peels of Illumination

In mystic corners of the grocery store,
Where produce gleams beneath fluorescent lights,
The sacred peels that monks have searched for
Reveal their wisdom in the shopping nights.

Yellow crescents dropped by careless souls,
Transform the mundane floor to holy ground,
Each slip and slide brings enlightened goals,
As shoppers dance the unintended round.

“Beware!” the ancient produce clerk did say,
“These peels contain the secrets of the wise,
For those who fall will surely find their way
To truths that hide before untrained eyes.”

The first slip brings awareness pure and clean,
The second teaches humility’s grace,
The third reveals what balance truly means,
As gravity rearranges time and space.

Banana sages from the tropic lands
Once prophesied this slippery parade,
Where common fruit in uncommonly grand
Adventures leads to wisdom’s promenade.

So next you spot a peel upon the floor,
Don’t curse its placement or its silly trap,
For in its curve lies something something more:
A yellow path to consciousness, perhaps.

The holiest of fruits has shown the way,
Through pratfalls, stumbles, slides, and sudden drops,
Enlightenment comes in a strange display
Of produce-section spiritual props.

So praise the sacred peels that light our path,
And thank the fruit that gives both food and sight,
For in their slippery wisdom lies the art
Of finding truth through falling’s pure delight.

[The end reveals the greatest truth of all:
Sometimes we must slip before we can stand tall.]
