Death, the great equalizer

No one escapes its cold grip

It comes for rich and poor alike

No matter how we try to slip

It takes our loved ones in its embrace

Leaves us bereft and alone

But death is just a part of life

It’s a journey we must undertake alone

So let us cherish every moment

And hold our loved ones close

For death will come for us one day

But until then, let’s make the most

Of every breath and every day

And live our lives with purpose and grace
