The Fall of Troy

Sing, O Muse, of the wrath of Achilles,
The son of Peleus, swift-footed and fierce,
Who brought countless woes upon the Trojans,
And sent many brave souls to Hades’ realm,
Leaving their bodies as prey for dogs and birds.

Sing, O Muse, of the cunning of Odysseus,
The son of Laertes, wise and crafty,
Who devised the scheme that brought down Troy’s walls,
And led the Greeks to victory and glory,
After ten long years of war and suffering.

Sing, O Muse, of the fate of Priam’s sons,
The heirs of Troy, noble and valiant,
Who fought bravely for their city and kin,
But fell one by one to the enemy’s hands,
Or fled in exile to distant lands.

Sing, O Muse, of the beauty of Helen,
The daughter of Zeus, fair and radiant,
Who sparked the war that consumed two nations,
And caused the death of countless heroes and kings,
But returned safely to her husband’s arms.

Sing, O Muse, of the fall of Troy,
The mighty city, rich and proud,
That stood for ages as a beacon of civilization,
But was razed to the ground by fire and sword,
And became a legend for generations to come.
