The Edge of Dawn

In the stillness of the night,
As the world is cloaked in twilight,
A whisper on the horizon’s edge,
Heralds the coming of a new day’s pledge.

The edge of dawn, a liminal space,
Where darkness yields to light’s embrace,
A moment caught between two worlds,
As the sky unfurls, and the sun uncurls.

The stars, they fade into the blue,
As the moon bids her last adieu,
The night’s sweet dreams, they drift away,
Making room for the coming day.

In this moment, so pure and still,
The world is poised, as if on a hill,
Waiting for the sun to rise,
To paint the earth with golden dyes.

The birds, they stir from their repose,
Their songs, a melody that grows,
A symphony to greet the morn,
As the edge of dawn is slowly torn.

And as the first rays touch the land,
The world awakens, so bright and grand,
A new beginning, fresh and clean,
As the edge of dawn recedes unseen.

For in this moment, so sublime,
We are witness to the march of time,
The eternal cycle, forever true,
As day and night, forever renew.
