The Discordian’s Prayer for Peace
Oh, great cosmic jester,
we gather here in a swirl of glitter,
not to seek peace,
but to invite chaos,
to welcome the delightful absurdity
that dances in the shadows of our holiday spirit.
Grant us more confusion,
the kind that tickles the mind
and turns logic on its head,
where cats wear reindeer antlers,
and pineapples hold court in fezzes,
their wisdom dripping with the nectar of the ridiculous.
May rubber chickens rain from the heavens,
each squawk a reminder
that laughter is the true gift,
and socks mismatched
fill our stockings with randomness,
as we embrace the delightful disarray
that makes our hearts sing.
Let us celebrate the chaos of the season,
where gnomes dance on tables
and jellybeans fly through the air like confetti,
spreading joy in the most nonsensical ways,
for it is in this swirling madness
that we find our truest selves.
So, we pray not for silence,
but for the clamor of joyous absurdity,
the glorious cacophony of life,
and the sweet embrace of confusion.
Let us embrace confusion,
for it is through confusion
that we find true enlightenment.
Amen and ho ho ho!
