The Day I Met a Unicorn
I was walking home from school one day, when I saw something shiny in the bushes. I was curious, so I went to check it out. To my surprise, it was a unicorn! It had a white coat, a long horn, and a rainbow mane and tail. It looked at me with its big blue eyes and said, “Hello, human. I’m Sparkles.”
I couldn’t believe it. A talking unicorn! I asked, “How did you get here? Where are you from?”
Sparkles said, “I’m from the land of magic, where all kinds of wonderful creatures live. I came here to explore your world, but I got lost. Can you help me find my way back?”
I nodded eagerly. I always dreamed of visiting a magical land. I said, “Sure, I’ll help you. But how do we get there?”
Sparkles said, “We need to find a rainbow. That’s the portal to my world. There should be one nearby. Come on, hop on my back.”
I climbed on Sparkles’ back and held on to his mane. He ran fast and jumped over fences and cars. He was so agile and graceful. I felt like I was flying.
We soon found a rainbow in the sky. It was bright and colorful. Sparkles said, “There it is! Hold on tight!”
He galloped towards the rainbow and leaped into it. We were surrounded by a swirl of colors and lights. It was amazing.
We emerged on the other side of the rainbow and landed on a soft grassy field. There were flowers everywhere and butterflies fluttering around. I saw other unicorns grazing and playing. They looked happy and friendly.
Sparkles said, “Welcome to the land of magic! This is where I live.”
I was speechless. It was the most beautiful place I ever saw. I said, “Wow! This is incredible!”
Sparkles said, “I’m glad you like it. Come on, let me show you around.”
He took me on a tour of his world. He showed me the enchanted forest, where fairies and elves lived. He showed me the crystal lake, where mermaids and dolphins swam. He showed me the candy mountain, where everything was edible and delicious.
He introduced me to his friends: a dragon named Blaze, a griffin named Fluffy, and a pegasus named Starlight. They were all very nice and funny.
We had so much fun together. We played games, told jokes, and shared stories.
I felt like I belonged there.
But then I remembered that I had to go home soon. My parents would be worried about me.
I said to Sparkles, “I’m sorry, but I have to go back to my world now. It’s getting late.”
Sparkles said, “Oh, okay. I understand. But will you come back and visit me again?”
I said, “Of course! You’re my best friend.”
Sparkles said, “You’re my best friend too.”
He gave me a hug and said, “Thank you for helping me find my way home.”
I said, “Thank you for showing me your world.”
He took me back to the rainbow portal and said goodbye.
I waved at him and said, “See you soon!”
I went through the rainbow and returned to my world.
It was still the same as before.
But I felt different.
I felt happier and more adventurous.
I had a secret that no one else knew.
I had met a unicorn.
And he was my friend.
