The Couch Potato’s Paradise

--

If I could choose a world to dwell,
Where fiction reigns and all is well,
I’d pass on quests and dragon’s lairs,
For endless lounging in comfy chairs.

Adventure, schmadventure, I say with glee,
Give me a beach and reality TV.
No swords to wield, no foes to fight,
Just me, my snacks, and remote in sight.

Imagine a realm of pure relaxation,
Where naps are the highest aspiration.
No need for heroes or magic spells,
When you’ve got spa days and hotel bells.

A personal chef at my beck and call,
Whipping up feasts in my lazy hall.
No need to slay beasts or climb a tower,
When gourmet meals arrive on the hour.

Sure, some might crave a thrilling tale,
Of daring deeds beyond the pale.
But why risk life and limb, I ask,
When binge-watching is an easier task?

So keep your quests and your magic rings,
Your epic battles and mystical things.
I’ll take my world of cushioned bliss,
Where the greatest peril is shows to miss.

In this fiction, I’ll find my place,
A world of comfort, style, and grace.
No need for plot twists or surprise,
Just endless chill ‘neath sunny skies.

So if you seek me, don’t look far,
I’ll be right here, raising the bar
On how to master relaxation,
In my fictional, lazy nation.

Adventure’s great for those who dare,
But I prefer my easy chair.
In endless comfort, I’ll reside,
Remote in hand, with sloth my guide.
