The Absurd Mentor

Alex was a young and ambitious writer who wanted to make a name for himself in the literary world. He had talent and passion, but he lacked experience and guidance. He wanted to find a mentor, someone who could teach him the secrets of the craft, someone who could help him achieve his dreams.

He had heard of a famous and eccentric writer who lived in a secluded cabin in the woods. He had read his books, which were full of absurd and surreal stories that defied logic and reason. He admired his style, which was witty and original. He had decided to seek him out, to ask him to be his mentor.

He had found his address, packed his bags, and drove to the cabin. He knocked on the door and waited.

The door opened and a man appeared. He was old and thin, with a long beard and a wild look in his eyes. He wore a hat made of feathers and a coat made of newspapers. He smiled and said:

“Hello, stranger. What brings you to my humble abode?”

Alex was surprised by his appearance, but he tried to be polite.

“Hello, sir. My name is Alex. I’m a writer, and I’m a big fan of your work. I came here to ask you a favor.”

The man raised his eyebrows.

“A favor? What kind of favor?”

Alex took a deep breath and said:

“I want you to be my mentor. I want you to teach me how to write like you, how to create absurd and surreal stories that captivate the readers.”
