Old Master Who?
There once was a fellow named Laozi, it’s true,
Who taught that the sky should be open and blue!
That rivers must bend, and so must you too —
If you try to stay stiff, you’ll break right in two!
He rode on an ox, through mountains so high,
Left wisdom behind, then waved it goodbye.
He scribbled a book, just quiet and small,
Yet somehow, it teaches the greatest of all!
“The soft beats the strong,” he said with a grin,
“A door stays so useful because it is thin!
A cup must be empty to fill up with tea,
And those who let go are the ones who are free!”
He whispered of water, so patient, so wise,
It flows without effort, yet shapes and supplies.
No pushing, no pulling, no rushing ahead —
Just follow the Way and be gently led.
So if you feel stuck or tangled or tight,
Remember his words and step to the right!
Or maybe the left — or better yet, none —
Just dance with the Tao, and life will be fun!
