Ode to My Wi-Fi

Oh Wi-Fi, my invisible friend,
Everywhere and nowhere, you transcend.
A connection so close, yet so far,
When you fail, it leaves a scar.

In the middle of a binge, on the edge of my seat,
Suddenly the dreaded buffer, such a cruel feat.
The wheel spins round, taunting and teasing,
My entertainment halted, emotions displeasing.

I cannot live without you, my constant companion,
For unlimited data, too expensive to imagine.
Food and shelter, basic needs to survive,
But without Wi-Fi, I barely feel alive.

Oh Wi-Fi, to you I pledge my loyalty,
Never leave me stranded in digital purgatory.
Tangled wires and lost connections abound,
But with you, sweet wireless freedom is found.

Insatiable hunger for your signal so strong,
Desperate for your return when you’re gone too long.
A love-hate relationship, frustration and bliss,
When you’re humming, ignorance is bliss.

So close, yet so far, an illusion of connection,
Lost in transmission, trapped in introspection.
We gather round, slaves to your almighty power,
Hopelessly devoted, hour after hour.
