Ode to Junk Food
Oh, junk food, my sweet temptation,
A guilty pleasure, a tasteful sensation.
Kale and quinoa, they say are divine,
But give me chips and dip, and I’ll be just fine.
Triple cheeseburgers, with fries on the side,
A feast fit for kings, I cannot hide.
Greasy and juicy, a heart attack on a bun,
But oh, so delicious, I can’t resist one.
Pizza, oh pizza, with cheese galore,
Pepperoni and sausage, I always want more.
A slice of heaven, in a cardboard box,
Melting in my mouth, like a tasty paradox.
I tried to diet, I really did try,
Salads and smoothies, but they made me cry.
Broccoli and carrots, they’re just not the same,
As a bag of Doritos, with artificial flame.
Chocolate cake, a slice of pure bliss,
Layers of frosting, I simply can’t miss.
Moist and decadent, a sweet tooth’s delight,
I’ll have another piece, just one more bite.
Ice cream, a scoop or three,
Flavors galore, a frozen fantasy.
Cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip,
A brain freeze worth it, for a taste so hip.
