A stone asked the river:
“Why do you flow so freely?”
The river chuckled,
“Because even stones need a friend to skip.”

The moon questioned the night:
“Why do you wear a blanket of stars?”
The night smiled softly,
“To keep the dreams from wandering too far.”

— -

A cloud pondered to the mountain:
“Why do you stand so tall?”
The mountain grinned,
“Because even clouds need a place to rest.”

— -

The echo spoke to the silence:
“What is the sound of your absence?”
Silence replied,
“Only the heart knows the weight of a sigh.”

— -

A feather inquired of the breeze:
“Where do you carry the whispers?”
The breeze replied,
“Only the sky remembers the secrets of flight.”
