My Mind is a World
My mind is a world on its own,
Where pictures and dramas are conjured every minute,
A kaleidoscope of colors and sounds.
A theater of emotions and thoughts.
Sometimes it’s a paradise of beauty and joy,
Where I can explore and create and play,
A garden of flowers and fruits,
A canvas of art and music.
Sometimes it’s a hell of fear and pain,
Where I can’t escape or control or cope,
A dungeon of monsters and traps,
A screen of nightmares and memories.
Sometimes it’s a mystery of wonder and curiosity,
Where I can discover and learn and grow,
A library of books and facts,
A puzzle of riddles and clues.
Sometimes it’s a chaos of confusion and conflict,
Where I can’t understand or communicate or resolve,
A storm of voices and opinions,
A war of beliefs and values.
My mind is a world on its own,
But it’s not the only world I know,
I can connect and share and relate,
With other minds and other worlds.
