Lunar Laughter

--

A frog leaps,

Creating ripples in the pond,

Disturbing the moon’s reflection,

Yet the moon smiles,

Knowing it’s just water’s play.

The tiny amphibian, unaware,

Of the celestial spectator there,

Dives into the cool embrace,

Sending shimmering waves through space.

The moon, a silent observer on high,

Watches the frog’s antics with a sigh,

Its placid face distorted and bent,

By the ripples’ mischievous intent.

But the moon, wise and old,

Knows the story that’s being told,

A tale of life and nature’s dance,

Of creatures seizing their chance.

So the moon just grins and beams,

At the frog’s aquatic schemes,

Content to be a part of the scene,

A witness to the pond’s serene.

And as the ripples fade away,

The moon’s reflection comes back to stay,

A testament to the enduring might,

Of nature’s balance, day and night.

So let the frog leap and play,

In the pond’s watery ballet,

For the moon will always be there,

Smiling down, without a care.
