Lost in Yesterday
In the echoes of time, where memories reside,
A heart wanders lost, with nowhere to hide.
The past, it beckons, with a siren’s call,
Luring the soul, into a freefall.
The yesterdays, they haunt, like ghosts in the night,
Whispering tales, of a love once bright.
The laughter that echoed, through halls now hollow,
The dreams that were shared, now impossible to follow.
The mind, it wanders, through the labyrinth of time,
Seeking solace, in the memories sublime.
But the more it searches, the more it gets lost,
In the maze of yesterday, where the heart paid the cost.
The smiles that once warmed, like the sun’s gentle rays,
Now fade into the mist, of the bygone days.
The touch that once sparked, a fire within,
Now a distant memory, a longing to spin.
The words left unspoken, the chances untaken,
Haunt the soul, like a promise forsaken.
The regrets pile up, like autumn leaves,
As the heart, silently grieves.
Lost in yesterday, the present fades away,
A mere shadow, of a brighter day.
The future, it beckons, but the heart cannot hear,
Trapped in the echoes, of a love once dear.
