Gravity of Words

In the silence between us, words hang in the air,
Each syllable heavy, a burden we share.
They soar like a feather, yet land like a stone,
Imprinting their echoes in hearts made of bone.

A gentle “I love you” can lift like the dawn,
While harsh words like daggers can leave us withdrawn.
The weight of a promise, the cost of a lie,
In the fabric of language, our truths often lie.

Each phrase has its gravity, each tone its own hue,
Carving deep channels where feelings break through.
A whisper of kindness can heal what is frayed,
While a shout of disdain leaves a heart bruised and swayed.

In moments of anger, we often forget,
That words can be anchors, or sails we beget.
They linger like shadows, they dance in the mind,
A tapestry woven, complex and unkind.

Yet words can unite, they can bridge every gap,
In a world full of chaos, they offer a map.
For in every “thank you,” in each heartfelt plea,
Lies the power to nurture, to set our hearts free.

So choose your words wisely, with care and with grace,
For their weight can define us, can alter our space.
In the gravity of language, let love be your guide,
For the marks of our words are the truths we can’t hide.
