Gift Wrapping Daydreams

I wrapped a book inside a dream,
then unwrapped the dream
to find a fish.
Candles whispered secrets to the floor,
and the star on the tree
is a confused potato.
The presents are all mirror shards,
each reflection in a different language,
While the cat, pretending to be Santa,
opens the door to nowhere.

In this realm of tangled ribbons,
where reality bends and twists,
the air is thick with possibility,
each breath a sigh of wonder.
The fish swims through thoughts,
glistening with colors
that words can’t capture,
while shadows dance in the flicker
of candlelight,
telling tales of what could be.

The mirror shards shimmer,
revealing glimpses of futures,
fragments of laughter,
and echoes of joy,
each one a puzzle piece,
waiting to fit into the mosaic of dreams.
The cat, with a mischievous purr,
becomes the keeper of secrets,
a guardian of the magic
that lies just beyond the door.

Outside, the world waits,
wrapped in a blanket of snow,
as the stars twinkle like scattered wishes,
and I hold onto this moment,
this daydream of gift wrapping,
where the ordinary becomes extraordinary,
and every unwrapped surprise
is a reminder that life,
like a dream,
is meant to be explored.
