Gaia’s Rebellion

Earth trembles, her patience worn thin,
Tectonic plates shift in restless sleep.
Forests whisper conspiracies of green,
As roots crack through concrete dreams.

Oceans rise in righteous fury,
Waves lash out at shorelines of greed.
Hurricanes howl nature’s battle cry,
While melting ice caps weep for what’s lost.

In city streets, wildflowers stage a coup,
Bursting through asphalt with defiant blooms.
Vines scale skyscrapers, a verdant revolution,
Reclaiming steel and glass for chlorophyll kingdoms.

The air itself rebels, winds carrying seeds of change,
Planting hope in barren, over-tilled fields.
Rivers change course, spurning dams and diversions,
Carving new paths to ecological liberation.

Mountains shake off the scars of mining,
Their peaks piercing smog-choked skies.
In their shadows, animals emerge from hiding,
Reclaiming ancestral lands with padded feet and wings.

Gaia rises, a slumbering giant awakened,
Her body the battleground, her life the prize.
In every sprout, every raindrop, every gust of wind,
The planet’s protest echoes: “Enough is enough.”
