Frozen heart’s lament

In the heart of winter’s icy grasp,

A frozen soul clasps memories of the past.

Mournful carolers sing in the cold,

Gothic tales of love and stories untold.

He remembers her smile, he remembers her eyes,

He remembers her warmth, he remembers her lies.

He remembers how she broke his heart,

He remembers how she tore him apart.

He wanders the streets, he wanders the snow,

He wanders the places they used to go.

He searches for her, he searches in vain,

He searches for a way to end his pain.

But he knows he cannot find her,

He knows he cannot forget.

He knows he is doomed to suffer,

He knows he is full of regret.

For he is the victim of a frozen heart,

He is the prisoner of a cruel fate.

He is the one who loved too much,

He is the one who loved too late.

But on this night, a miracle happens,

A star shines bright in the sky.

He hears a voice, he sees a face,

He feels a touch, he feels a grace.

It is her, it is his love,

She has come back from above.

She has come to heal his wound,

She has come to sing a tune.

She sings of forgiveness, she sings of peace,

She sings of joy, she sings of release.

She sings of a new beginning, she sings of a new life,

She sings of a Gothic Christmas, she sings of a silent night.

She kisses his cheek, she melts his heart,

She fills his soul, she makes him whole.

She gives him a gift, she gives him a chance,

She gives him a hope, she gives him a dance.

They dance in the snow, they dance in the light,

They dance in the love, they dance in the night.

They dance to the carols, they dance to the tales,

They dance to the Gothic Christmas, they dance to the bells.

The candles in the crypt are glowing,

The shadows in the crypt are fading.

The spirits in the crypt are smiling,

The angels in the crypt are singing.

They sing of a frozen heart’s lament,

They sing of a frozen heart’s repent.

They sing of a frozen heart’s revival,

They sing of a frozen heart’s survival.
