Eternal Winter’s Embrace

In the heart of winter’s icy grip,
Where frozen tears and shadows slip,
Christmas lights dim in the pale moon’s glow,
A chilling tale of love lost long ago.

A couple met, on a snowy night,
Their eyes sparkled, with love and light.
They danced and laughed, under mistletoe,
And vowed to never let each other go.

But fate was cruel, and tore them apart,
A car crash ended, their happy start.
He died on impact, she survived in pain,
And never saw his smiling face again.

She visits his grave, every Christmas Eve,
And lays a wreath, of holly leaves.
She whispers softly, “I love you so”,
And feels his kiss, in the falling snow.

The graveyard silent, ‘neath the silver moon,
She weaves a tale, a melancholy tune.
With each snowflake, a memory takes flight,
Of laughter and love, once pure and bright.

In her dreams, she sees him standing near,
A phantom silhouette, so crystal clear.
The bitter cold can’t quell the warmth she feels,
As their love transcends, breaking time’s steel.
