Duality’s Duet

--

Two worlds collide in a silent ballet,

A duet of duality, night and day.
One reality shared by two,
Schizophrenia’s song, hauntingly true.

Two minds inhabit one fractured space,
Neither knowing the other’s face.

Divided by some phantom wall,
Worlds apart, yet still entwralled.

One basks in the sun’s warmth and light,
As the other dwells cloaked in night.

Day dreams of logic, reason, and rhyme,

While night murmurs madness in time.

In daylight, thoughts flow pristine as a stream,
Then come whispers from the night, distorted, unclean.
Day seeks order, control, and clarity,

As night breeds chaos involuntarily.

Both modes divided, yet still somehow paired,
two apparitions, both scared and scared.

For when daylight fades, night shall arrive,
And rationality won’t survive.

The twisted thoughts come, boiled from within,
Day cannot stop night’s siege about to begin.

And when daylight returns it cannot comprehend,

the madness night perpetrated ere its end.

Two selves inhabiting one fractured whole,
A delusional duet out of control.

Day and night intertwined but apart,

A duality divided at the very heart.

So goes the dance as days fade in and out,

A pirouette of personas spinning about.

Two worlds that never were meant to meet,
Now locked in schizophrenia’s duet replete.

A silent ballet where two worlds swirl,

The duality of one mind, unfurled.

Day and night, divided identities,

Trapped in this schizophrenic parody.
