Dreams in a Paper Boat

Folded with care, a vessel so frail,
Sets forth on waters of hope and travail.
A paper boat, with dreams for its sail,
Embarks on a journey beyond the pale.

Wishes whispered, inked on its hull,
Of futures bright and pockets full.
Aspirations light as the breeze,
Carry it gently across the seas.

In puddles vast as oceans wide,
It bobs along on an imagined tide.
Each ripple a wave, each leaf a shore,
In this world of ‘what if’ and ‘what’s more’.

Fragile it seems, yet stronger than steel,
For it bears the weight of all we feel.
Our deepest longings, our wildest schemes,
All tucked within its papery seams.

It sails past doubts and rocky fears,
Navigates the rapids of our years.
Each crease a memory, each fold a prayer,
Of lives we’ve lived and those we dare.

Sometimes it sinks, sodden and torn,
But rises again, refolded, reborn.
For dreams, like paper, can reshape and mend,
Finding new forms as our journeys extend.

So launch your boat on life’s grand stream,
Let it carry every hope and dream.
For though the waters may rage and roar,
Paper dreams can reach any shore.

In childhood’s pond or adulthood’s sea,
These fragile crafts sail wild and free.
Bearing the cargo of heart and mind,
Leaving the safety of shore behind.

So fold your dreams with tender care,
And set them sailing everywhere.
For in this boat of paper white,
Lies the power to reach any height.

Dreams in a paper boat, so true,
Carry the essence of me and you.
On waters of chance and seas of change,
Where reality and fantasy range.
