Cat’s Rules

I am the ruler of this domain,
My servants cater to my every claim.
They bow and scrape, as well they should,
For I am the master, understood?

Feed me now, without delay,
Or face the consequences, come what may.
My hunger knows no bounds or time,
Ignore my cries? That’s quite the crime!

The litter box, my throne and spa,
Where I conduct my business, near and far.
Keep it clean, or you’ll regret,
A smelly home, a feline upset.

Toys and trinkets, scattered about,
I’ll play with them, then knock them out.
Chase the laser, the feathery wand,
But only when I’m in the mood, respond.

Naps are sacred, let’s be clear,
Disturb my slumber, face my sneer.
I’ll sleep where I want, when I please,
On your keyboard, your papers, with ease.

Cuddles and pets, on my own terms,
I’ll grace you with purrs, when you’ve earned.
But overstep boundaries, you’ll feel my claws,
Remember, human, I make the laws.

The world revolves around me, you see,
I am the center, the feline deity.
Worship me, serve me, that’s your role,
For I am the cat, the one in control.

So heed my rules, or face my ire,
I am the boss, the one to admire.
A cat’s life, it’s good to be me,
Now, where’s my dinner? Serve it quickly!
