Between Yesterday and Tomorrow
In the valley of yesterday, I no longer dwell,
A place of shadows, where hardships fell.
Though today, I stand, not on mountain's peak,
I'm far from the depths, of the despair I did seek.
I linger in the mist of the in-between,
Where the past is done, the future unseen.
Not where I yearn, but I've come so far,
Guided by the light of my inner star.
I'm not where I want, nor where I was,
A journeying soul, in life's endless buzz.
Every step, every stumble, every stride,
A testament to the strength that lies inside.
Gratitude blooms in my heart's vast field,
For the wounds that healed, the truths revealed.
For the bridges crossed, for the rivers wide,
For the shadows faced, for the tears I've cried.
I honor the past, its lessons so deep,
The climb, the fall, the valleys steep.
The present, a gift, I hold in my hand,
A stepping stone, in this vast, shifting sand.
So here's to the journey, to the road yet traveled,
To the mysteries of life, slowly unraveled.
I am not where I was, nor where I yearn to be,
But in this moment, I am free, I am me.
